This is my blog about our hire 180sx that I drove at the Ebisu Drift Festival in Autumn of last year!
For those that dont know, Ebisu is a major drifting complex north of Tokyo, that currently has 9 individual courses spread across its perimeters.
Along with D1 events, its also the host of three Drifting Festivals every year. Spring, Summer and Autumn. During these festivals, participants can to drive on any of the 9 courses at virtually anytime! The event is spread over two days, and also included unlimited night drifting in the middle!

In mid Nov of last year we headed off once again, also accompanying 7 customers for the journey north, and at the end of the two day non-stop event, I entered our 180sx rental car in the all-foreigner drift competition!
It was featured in a popular drifting DVD in Japan called Doriten...

...in which I fucked up a qualifer run and almost killed the camera man;)
Unfortunately the two days and night of continual drifting caused a torn turbo outlet hose from the manifold heat... Pretty much losing all boost on qualifying, and choked the speed on the entry :'(
But heres a practice run before the hose went!
Despite the bad luck with the outlet hose, I was lucky enough to get 5th place! Just missing out on the top 4 battle...
I really enjoyed the event and look forward to the next one!!
